Our client is looking for a Senior Software Design Engineer to take responsible for the design & development of datacomms embedded systems software within a growing international semiconductor firm. You will design embedded & host software system components using appropriate tools & methods, code software designs using C/C++ to appropriate coding standards. Contribute to customer requirements management and capture - including direct customer liaison to accertain specific customer technical requirements are captured correctly. Experience: -You will be an C / C++ embedded software engineer with ideally +6 years experience developing technically advanced products in the datacomms/ telecomms/ wireless sector. With experience in C / C++ embedded real-time system development and debugging. -Able to work at the software/hardware interface with very good understanding of hardware principles and electronics. -Telecommunications, Internet, Ethernet, Wireless protocols, standards. -Solid understanding of the principles of Ethernet / IP & UDP -Software development using structured design tools & processes (UML, RT-SASD or similar) -Software testing, software test tools. -Configuration, build, release management, scripting (Tcl, Perl), makefiles. -Network architectures & processors. Analogue / RF IC Layout Senior Engineer Our client is looking for a Senior Analogue / RF IC Layout Engineer who will contribute and verify full custom layout for Analogue & RF cells & sub blocks in deep sub micron technology, to maintain & modify existing layout databases for design revisions, to complete full design verification of these cells and blocks and finally to assist in ‘tape out’ of finished designs. A Senior Engineer is responsible for the delivery of reviewed and verified Analogue & RF cells & sub blocks. This will involve close work with other Analogue / RF engineers and may involve contact with the digital and software departments. Responsible for the creation of accurate floor plans of Analogue cells & sub Blocks. Create Layout of complex/critical blocks and cells. Solves complex problems in a tightly constrained environment. Understands the performance & area impact of layout style. Be able to fully LVS, DRC & extract parasitic layout data with no supervision. Keeps abreast of new developments and is building their expertise in the design of Analogue / RF sub-cells. Experience: ·Good experienced in the use of Cadence and Mentor Analogue / RF layout and verification tools. ·Experienced in the layout Analogue / RF circuits of medium complexity with supervision and guidance. ·Proven track record of delivering tasks of medium complexity on schedule ·Able to share own experience with less experienced engineers, and to provide appropriate guidance ·Degree (or equivalent qualification) in maths/science/electronics ·Good interpersonal and communication skills.
